Whether you are an existing member of KiwiSaver, you are thinking about joining or you have decided to opt in, then this is the place for you. If you're still trying to decide whether to join, have a look here and read the IRD's KiwiSaver Employee Information Pack (KS3).
How do I join? It's easy to do:
- If you're employed and you know which KiwiSaver scheme you'd like to join, you can apply direct to the scheme provider. If you'd like to select your own scheme but don't know which one, we can help you select a KiwiSaver scheme.
- If you're employed and you're happy to have a scheme selected for you, ask your employer for a KiwiSaver deduction form (KS2). Return this form to your employer for onward forwarding to the IRD. You'll be allocated to your employer's chosen scheme (if they have one) or randomly assigned to one of the default schemes.
- If you are self-employed, see the IRD's KiwiSaver guide for self-employed (KS12) for information on how to apply directly to a scheme provider.
